Hip Hop Instructor
Chris Valdez was born and raised in New York City. After graduating high school, Chris moved to Arizona to further his education. Wanting to try something new, he decided to take his first dance class at Mesa Community College. That’s when he realized he needed to have dance in his life.
After a few years of dancing Hip Hop, Chris started to branch out into other styles of dance, including Modern, Jazz, Ballet, and Salsa. He soon developed a fire to better himself and develop as a dancer. Chris graduated from Mesa Community College with an Associate’s degree in Dance. Chris has been teaching Hip Hop classes around the Valley for 9 years. Over the years he has also had the opportunity to learn from professional dancers Ann Reinking, Dennis Wayne, Nan Giordano, and Michael Kubala, to name a few.
In more recent years, Chris has had the opportunity to dance for the Phoenix Suns Solar Squad, perform with Ballet Hispanico, and choreograph for and perform in local music videos. Chris is excited to teach and is looking forward to sharing his love of dance with the students at Rhythm & Motion Dance Center.
