Cinema Magic

Hello RMDC Families!

We know this is a year full of uncertainties but we wanted to let you know that we are still planning on holding our "Cinema Magic" Winter recital this year with the same theme & costumes we were planning for Summer recital. Please see our plan highlighted below in regards to recital-

Plan A - We will have Dress Rehearsal on Friday Dec 18th & Recital on Saturday Dec 19th at Highland High School, our normal venue. We will have 2 shows on Dec 19th. The first show will be at 2:00p, the second show will be at 5:00p. Please see the attached lists of what show your dancer's class is in, please note this is not in show order. We will move forward as normal with this plan unless told otherwise.

Plan B - If we are unable to have recital at Highland High School due to Covid restrictions we will look for a different auditorium/theatre venue that can accommodate us. The outline will still be similar to "Plan A" above.

Plan C -  After much thought and consideration, if we are unable to hold recital in an actual auditorium/theater we will hold 3 or 4 mini recitals on a residential private property on Dec 19th that could hold the tent, chairs and the stage we need..etc. We would not have a dress rehearsal on site for this, we would hold "dress rehearsals" for class the week beforehand. As the months draw closer and this option looks like we will have to move forward with it, we will announce the show times and which classes are participating in which mini show by November 23rd. We will also try to group families with multiple dancers in the same mini show(s).

In regards to costume & recital fees, if you did not already pay these in the Spring, the due dates are as follows-

Recital Costume fees - Due Sep 21st - Check the costume board located in the waiting areas for your dancer's class costume & fee! We are unable to issue a refund for costumes that have been ordered, so please make sure your dancer can commit to recital before purchasing

$50 Recital Fee (comes with 2 free recital tickets) - Due Oct 15th - The $50 fee will stay the same even for Plan C as we still need to rent a stage, tents, chairs and various other equipment to hold the mini recitals
