Ages 7+
TAP LEVEL 1
A beginning level class for ages 7-10. Students will learn the basic tap movements, noises, and combinations. They have the opportunity to perform in recitals after rehearsing choreography and learning the terms taught in class.
TAP LEVEL 2
Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style, and sound. Rhythm, timing, and agility will be a focal point during this class, as well as building increased coordination. Exercises build flexibility of the knees and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class will emphasize the development of proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun! As students progress through each level, curriculum becomes increasingly more complex and intricate.
TAP LEVEL 3
The dancer at this level will develop more speed, clarity, dynamics, and the ability to execute more complex rhythmic combinations. Students will put the fundamentals to work by learning new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations.
TAP LEVEL 4/5
advanced tap class progresses the dancer in fast and articulate rhythms and patterns. Dancers will be challenged in accuracy and speed.
